Jardin des Tuileries

The Tuileries Garden was created in 1564 by Catherine de Medici when she built the Pailais des Tuileries. They were relandscaped in 1664, which gave them their current French formal garden style and turned into a public park a few years later following the French Revolution. Separating the Louvre from the Place de la Concorde, this is one of the most famous parks in Paris and is a lovely place to wander around. You’ll notice a number of statues as well as two ponds.
