Panthèon
On a hilltop overlooking the Latin Quarter, the Panthéon is an 18th-century mausoleum that holds the tombs of some of France’s most influential citizens. The Panthéon’s crypt is the final resting spot of authors Victor Hugo and Emile Zola, philosophers Voltaire and Rousseau, and more recently Nobel Prizing-winning physicist Marie Curie. The entire interior of the monument is devoted to remembering the accomplishments of these famous French scientists, writers, politicians, and other history-makers with a number of exhibits.
