Musée des Arts Décoratifs
The Musée des Arts Décoratifs takes over the west wing of the Louvre, but the modern and contemporary gallery is an entirely separate museum from the Parisian landmark. You’ll find 150,000 objects that define the French art of living, from a 15th century bedroom to 18th century vases. In addition to being the city’s second-oldest museum after the Louvre, it’s also the only one in France that offers a range of decorative arts from the Middle Ages to the present day. The museum features 10 period rooms designed by interior designer François-Joseph Graf, whose work can also be seen at the Château de Versailles.
