Musée des arts et métiers

Established in 1794, the Musée des arts et métiers centers around technological innovation and features over 2,400 inventions. The museum’s seven collections include scientific instruments, materials, construction, communication, mechanics, and transport. One of its most famous pieces is the original model of Foucault’s Pendulum. If you need help navigating, guided tours focus on 150 of the museum’s key objects. The museum also features a number of scientific demonstrations, which last about 25 minutes. Families visiting with children ages 7-11 can take part in a special tour on Sundays at 11 a.m.

Hours Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; open Friday until 9:30 p.m.
Tickets $9 or reduced rate of $6 for students
Style Science/History Museum
Andy’s Notes:

The museum is one of the world’s oldest that’s dedicated to industry and technology. While only a fraction of its 80,000 objects are on display, there’s still plenty to keep you engaged for hours during a visit.
