Paris Movie Walking Tour

Paris has captivated filmmakers for well over a century, beginning when the Lumière brothers shot their historic-minute movie Excursion automobile Paris-Meulan in 1896.  Since then, the city has served as the set for hundreds of dramas, rom-coms, thrillers, and documentaries. In this guided two-hour walking tour hosted by knowledgeable film buffs, you’ll wandering Paris’ photogenic streets and the famous riverbanks and bridges of the Seine, seeing locations for movies including Breathless, Midnight in Paris, The Bourne Identity, Marie Antoinette, The Devil Wears Prada, The 400 Blows, and several James Bond flicks. You’ll stop by the Shakespeare and Company bookstore featured in Before Sunset, walk down a backstreet set from The Devil Wears Prada, marvel at Notre Dame Cathedral from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and stand on the spot Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn made eyes at each other in Charade. See what captivated such visionary directors as Jean Renoir, Jean Luc-Godard, François Truffaut, Woody Allen, and Richard Linklater.

Hours 2 p.m.
Tickets $27.50. Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level.
Andy’s Notes:

If there’s one city in the world Hollywood can’t really duplicate on the studio backlots, it’s Paris. And the moment you set foot in the Left Bank, on the Île de la Cité, or under the Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile, you’ll see why. With the Eiffel Tower soaring in the background, you can almost hear a French accordion as you stand on the sets of some of cinema’s most iconic movies.
