Grand Amour Hotel Paris

One metro stop from the Eurostar terminus Gare du Nord, the 42-room Grand Amour Hotel Paris sits in the rapidly changing neighborhood surrounding the train station. While the area is still rough around the edges, the hotel is one locals seek out for its marble-paved patio that feels plucked out of Miami. Taking over a pre-Haussmann townhouse, the design is a mix of classic and contemporary, with a slightly risqué décor dreamed up by graffiti artist André Saraiva. Curated photography lines the walls of the individually decorated rooms, which vary in size from small to superior. Some rooms also feature tubs.

Andy’s Notes:

Rooms are cozy, but they’re not the kind of spot you’d spend the day watching TV in. Technology is noticeably absent, but you can still use your own mobile phone to dial down to the 24-hour room service. The brasserie, inspired by infamous La Coupole in Montparnasse, draws a see-and-be-seen crowd — and the food is just as stylish.
