Le Bons Georges

This relatively young bistro exudes a sense of place and tradition beyond its years. Step inside the corner property on Rue Saint-Georges, take a seat at a small, wooden table, and peruse the chalkboard for the day’s menu. Helpful waitstaff will detail your options in English or French, with further specials presented on charming slates. Expect classic bistro fare, but don’t get too attached to any dishes, which change constantly as the chef shops only the freshest and most responsibly grown or raised ingredients from regional suppliers.

Hours

Monday through Sunday: Noon to 3:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Price

Upscale ($$$)

Andy’s Notes:

Serious popularity and a fervent commitment to local purveyors have driven menu prices up, but Le Bon Georges still offers a very reasonable prix fixe lunch for €23. Additionally, be sure to taste from the meticulously crafted wine list curated by not one but three sommeliers.
