Trattoria Pulcinella

Trattoria Pulcinella serves generous helpings of pastas, antipasti, and salads for surprisingly reasonable rates, with a particular specialty in Napolitano cuisine, thanks to the owners’ roots in Naples — but don’t fill up on your meal. The real reason Parisians flock to this trattoria is for its homemade desserts so good they make even the French forget about their own exquisite pastries. You won’t go wrong with classics like the tiramisu or the panna cotta with strawberry coulis.

Hours

Monday through Saturday: Noon to 2:30 p.m., 7:15 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.; Saturday: Noon to 3:00 p.m., 7:15 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Price

Mid-Range ($$)

Andy’s Notes:

Trattoria Pulcinella suffers from something of an identity crisis; you may hear it referred to as “Piccolo Rosso,” but this actually is the family-owned restaurant group that owns it (and a few other spots in Paris, too) so look for “Trattoria Pulcinella” above the door when searching for this one.
