Writer’s Amici Miei

Heaping portions of Sardinian pastas and risottos make Amici Miei a surprising value in this Saint-Ambroise trattoria, and the strawberry basil panacotta is a local favorite, but the specialty of the house is undoubtedly pizza. With more than two dozen varieties of crispy, thin-crust pies offered, it can be hard to settle on one; if you’re having a tough time deciding, go for the Amici Miei itself, with prosciutto di Parma, cherry tomatoes, and buffalo mozzarella. White pizza lovers will be particularly delighted to find more options than they’re used to here.

Andy’s Notes:

Don’t wait until you’re hungry to show up at Amici Miei, where reservations are not accepted and everyone wants to get in. Arrive early and be prepared to wait a bit.
