Chez Vong

Expect a lot from Chez Vong: a lot of Chinese art, a lot of plants and flowers, and a lot of fans from the Asian, French, and Franco-Chinese communities. Cantonese and Vietnamese are on order here, and aficionados claim that Chez Vong is home to the best Peking duck in Paris. Chef Vai Kuan Vong also specializes in steamed seafood, including sea bass, scallops, and turbot. If you’re familiar with French celebrities, keep your eyes peeled — this is a hotspot for local star-spotting.

Hours

Monday through Saturday: Noon to 2:30 p.m., 7:00 p.m. to 11:15 p.m.

Price

Upscale ($$$)

Andy’s Notes:

While it’s often easier to secure lunch reservations at most popular restaurants, the opposite is true here. The working crowd tends to dominate the tables at Chez Vong in the afternoon, so plan for a dinner instead.
